Rail weighbridge

This rail and road loader allows for the precise weighing of railcars and trucks. It rests on a welded steel frame, fully assembled in the factory, consisting of two braced beams ensuring robustness and stability.

The structure is enclosed at the bottom by a composite formwork, filled with concrete poured on site. This assembly provides ballast for the structure and forms a reinforced concrete slab, perfectly suited for truck traffic.

All the slab reinforcement is supplied with the equipment.

This loader is SNCF-certified and complies with UIC standards, guaranteeing full compatibility with railway infrastructure.

Technical Specifications

  • Concrete required: approximately 8.5 m³, mixed at 370 kg/m³
  • Corrosion protection: metal parts coated with high-resistance paint
  • Rails: 70G type grooved rails
  • Rail gauge: 1435 mm
  • Technical access: 3 pairs of checker plate access hatches for sensors, buffers, and junction boxes
  • Safety: 4 bidirectional impact buffers
  • Cable routing: sensor cables integrated into the frame
Weighbridge installation guidelines
  • The railway line must include, at the entrance and exit of the weighbridge, a straight section of track with a minimum length equivalent to twice the length of the longest wagon.
  • The speed of traffic on the track equipped with the weighbridge must be limited to a maximum of 5 km/h.
Optional – Entry and Exit Frames

Optional entry and exit frames are available. These frames secure the track rails and eliminate the risk of weighbridge blockage due to rail expansion.

These frames ensure:

  • perfect rail alignment,
  • a constant 15 mm clearance between the track rails and the weighbridge rails,
  • increased reliability and extended installation lifespan.
